Meet the Team

A third-year Business administration major, Nyla loves empowering those around her to share their stories. Inspired by her personal TEDx experience, Nyla decided to bring TEDx to FAMU. In addition to TEDxFAMU, Nyla serves as Chief of Staff for the Bell-Burns Administration, President of FAMU’s Chapter of Generation Action, and Miss 1963 for the Powerhouse Chapter of Collegiate 100. Additionally, she is a McDonald's Future 22. 

A third-year Public Relations Scholar interested in branding and marketing. Sidney has previous internship experience with social media managing, content creating, event coordinating and graphic design. Sidney has served as the social media director for Journey Magazine and a curator and producer for Journey’s digital series, “Hair Affair.” In addition, Sidney has also designed graphics for several companies as well as her personal brand @cncptsbyberry. Sidney is a member of the “Original” Beta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and is currently serving as the Junior Class President for the 2022-2023 school year.

A third-year Public Relations student from Atlanta, Georgia.  He is interested in advertising and marketing and has experience shooting and producing visual campaigns for individual clients and for his creative marketing company, CMNTY.

A third-year Business administration major, Aziyah loves contributing to her community and the marketing side of business. She has ample experience in website development from her marketing internship and custom clothing business, MadeByAziyah! 

Third-year Broadcast Journalism student, Mycah, has prior experience in event-planning and marketing from coordinating various events over the past few years. Her additional interests include writing, and serving as Copy Editor for Journey Magazine, the school’s magazine publication.

A third-year Business Administration student from Cincinnati, OH, by way of Tampa, FL. Ninah is currently serving as the Executive Vice President of Scholars of Finance, as well as serving as the Special Events Chair of the FAMU chapter of the Big Sister Little Sister Program. She has held a few leadership positions, administrative positions, and operations positions in the past and is happy to be a part of a team full of collaborative, highly motivated, and intelligent individuals!

A third-year Public Relations scholar, Jaylin has prior experience in production and graphic design. Jaylin served as a producer for two shows on FAMU’s campus as well as producing short stories for Journey Mag as the social content manager. She has been a head producer, producing episodes, creating multiple campaigns for @Gradzillas marketing, and designing graphics for that production, her class cabinet & personal brand @stunnavisionprod for the past three years. She is also interested in creative direction for brands & more.

A second-year Business students

A second-year Computer Science scholar interested in software development and UI/UX Design. Nia enjoys front-end web design and has over four years of programming experience. She spent this summer building an event landing page from scratch for her internship and will continue this Fall.  She is also a learning assistant for the College of Science & Technology, the webmaster for her local National Society of Black Engineers chapter, and leading a UX Design club

A first-year Broadcast journalism scholar who loves to tell stories through photo and audio visuals. He has 4 years of experience behind the camera, due to being part of his high school’s nationally recognized TV production program where he competed and placed on a national level. Mikiyah is a fourth year Animal Science Pre-Veterinary scholar who has an of abundance experience with networking and speaking to sponsors. She would love to contribute by ensuring this event is memorable, and truly highlights the talents at FAMU. Mikiyah also serves as the National Undergraduate Student Parliamentarian for the organization MANRRS, is a CAFS Mentor, and conducts research amongst a wide variety of academic programs.
